Price’s Wines No.8 Shiraz / Cabernet (6 x 750mL)
About Winemaker: Growing up on a farm in South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, Nick Price had a dream to one day get back to the land. A decade ago, that dream became a reality, bringing together Nick’s love of farming and his passion for wine. The Price’s Wines vineyard is 40 acres of prime grape production on limestone Terra Rossa soils in South Australia’s McLaren Vale. Our vineyard consistently produces quality grapes, nurtured to burst with flavor. Nick has sourced some of South Australia’s finest winemakers to produce the stunning range of Price’s Wines.
Harvest & Cellar Notes: Price’s No.8 is a medium-bodied style, bringing together the classic combination of Shiraz and Cabernet. This delicious drop is a skillful blend of barrels of aged Cabernet with newer Shiraz to create a journey of seasons. A mix of blueberry and blackberry fruits. Plums and raisins with some cool earthy aromas fill the nose along with subtle oak. Super smooth on the front with fine tannins and medium to full length. Well-balanced, savory mid-pallet, with seasoned oak, influences delivering a silky finish.
Tasting Notes: The No.8 is sweetly fruited and beautifully lifted, the bouquet shows dark plum, blackcurrant, warm spice, and toasted nut characters. The palate is equally attractive with succulent fruit intensity, well supported by a plump mouthfeel and fine tannins leading to a lingering silky finish. Serve with BBQ eye fillet, mushrooms with broccoli.
Additional info: Sweetly fruited and beautifully lifted.
