CAPI Spicy Ginger Beer is renowned for its unique zesty kick. Warm and crisp, with a zing of capsicum. Sharp, like its Australian attitude. Refreshing, like the Aussie charm that follows. Sip it straight, or pour in some vodka for a Moscow Mule.
Wish I could still get this product in this size. It’s too pricey in the smaller formats.

sweet and spicy
This tastes like old fashioned home made ginger beer, but sweeter, and lighter. It does not have the strength of home made ginger beer, which may be why they added the capsicum to provide the kick. And it does provide a kick. The aftertaste of the kick lingers for quite a while, so if you are allergic to chili you may have problems. I don’t usually like chili, but the pepperiness did fade and I survived.I did compare this to my other fav ginger beer, Fever Tree, and was surprised that there was not too much difference between them. Except this has more of the spicy aftertaste kick.I choose either of these because they do not have chemical ingredients but are all natural.Even Bundaberg has 211 or sodium benzoate as an additive, and I avoid 211.So, yeh, not a ginger bad beer.Definitely cheaper than Fever Tree, too.

“Not fermented but has sediment so is great!”
The thing they use as a selling point – that the drink is *not* fermented but has sediment is … odd. Normal ginger beer – the fermented kind – has sediment for that exact reason. Ginger beer is a product of water and sugar interacting with the ginger “plant” – the fermentation process breaks off some of the “plant” (not a plant in the sense that it has roots) and that’s what creates the sediment. So I don’t know how they get sediment in an unfermented drink. Just sayin.
