NATURE IN A BOTTLE – Manly Spirits Zesty Limoncello

Capturing the harmony between carefree beach life and urban sophistication for which Manly Beach is renowned, the Manly Spirits Co. team create Australian Gins, Botanical Vodkas, Liqueurs and Whiskies that rival the best in the world.

Taking much of their inspiration from the stunning coastal marine environment of the Northern beaches of Sydney, they use foraged marine and Australian botanicals. The bold but balanced flavour range will keep you yearning for one more sip.

Awarded ‘Best Australian Fruit Liqueur’ at the World Liqueur Awards 2019, this authentic Limoncello with an Australian twist will leave your mouth watering.

HOW WE CRAFT OUR SPIRITS

THE STILLS

Our distillery has two gorgeous Holstein stills dedicated to the production of our white spirits range. During the production of our stills, Bella and Jordan are meticulously monitored by our Distillers for key timings. We choose not to use automatic cuts but rely on the well-tuned noses of our craftsman to ensure we extract as much flavour as possible from our botanicals while maintaining the balance of a pure, clean spirit.

Striving for only the highest possible quality, but also driven to deliver expressions that capture the diversity of Australian botanicals, our team explores above and below the ocean surface to find something special.

THE RECIPE

True to its name our mouth-watering ‘Zesty Limoncello’ combines a traditional family recipe passed down through generations from the Amalfi coast with some of our favourite foraged Australian botanicals, Lemon Myrtle and Lemon Aspen, to leave your mouth perfumed with a zesty sherbet finish.

PERFECT SERVE

Limoncello on Ice

Best enjoyed chilled, straight from the freezer. The bright lemon flavours make a fantastic palate cleanser or an after-dinner digestive.

Method: Neat or with an ice cube

Glass: Liqueur

Ingredients:

40ml Zesty Limoncello 15ml Manly spirits Coastal Citrus Gin 20ml Fresh Lemon Juice Soda

Method: Build in a wine glass over ice. Soda to top.

Garnish: Lemon slice

Best enjoyed chilled, poured over fresh fruit salad.

With crisp juniper shining through, a no sugar pink gin Piney juniper and coriander followed by a powerful citrus kick, balanced by delicate savoury flavours of the sea breeze and subtle notes of refreshing mint Earthy, savoury notes contrast with citrus and juniper, with eucalyptus and a pinch of pepper Smooth, savoury and salty, an umami explosion.
